Winners Announced at 2022 Concert Artist Guild Competition

Since 1951, the Concert Artists Guild (CAG) empowers young musicians to launch sustainable, unique, and relevant careers, assisting them in making an impact on the world through music.

The annual competition, open to all instruments, voice, and chamber ensembles, was held virtually for the second year in a row.

The winners of the 2022 Victor Elmaleh Virtual Competition are soprano Magdalena Kuźma, bassoonist Eleni Katz, pianist Llewellyn Sanchez-Werner, and the Galvin Cello Quartet.

The Galvin Cello Quartet includes cellists Sihao He, Sydney Lee,  Luiz Fernando Venturelli, and Haddon Kay.

This year's Grand Prize winners will receive international management with CAG and London-based Young Classical Artists Trust (YCAT), performances at both Merkin Concert Hall in New York and Wigmore Hall in London, and participation in the CAG 360 Leadership Development Program.

This year's jury included Jenny Bilfield, Sara Davis Buechner, Phillippa Cole, Anthony Roth Costanzo, Brandon Patrick George, John Glover, Jaime Martín, Tavia Nyong'o, Asadour Santourian, and Kathy Schuman.
