Open to international pianists aged 16 and over, the program will be held at The New School from July 14–26, 2025
The all-Steinway Mannes School of Music at The New School College of Performing Arts has announced the second edition of its Mannes Summer Piano Festival for pianists aged 16 or older as of July 1, 2025. Exceptional students aged 15 or younger may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Held from July 14–26, 2025, the Festival program includes private lessons, seminars, workshops, masterclasses, performance opportunities, and a piano competition at the end of the festival, which will offer cash awards to three top prize winners.
Students will learn from international guest faculty from Europe and Asia, and the Mannes piano faculty — including Hyoung-Joon Chang, Pavlina Dokovska, Christopher Elton, Richard Goode, Yuri Kim, Blair McMillen, Ronan O'Hara, Jerome Rose, Thomas Sauer, Ann Schein, J Y Song, Yun Sun, Vladimir Valjarevic, Xiayin Wang, Yunlin Yang, and Inessa Zaretsky.
“Following the great success of the inaugural 2024 festival, the Mannes Summer Piano Festival is again welcoming students from around the world,” said Pavlina Dokovska, Mannes Piano Department Chair and Artistic Director of the Mannes Summer Piano Festival.
“Whether you’re an experienced young artist aiming for conservatory auditions or someone seeking intensive mentorship to enhance your piano studies,” she added, “this festival promises to be a transformative experience for all participants.”
In addition, the Festival will host a concert series featuring internationally acclaimed pianists, including Korkmaz Can Sağlam, Élizabeth Pion, A Bu, Gabriele Strata, and Dmitry Yudin.
Young pianists interested in auditioning for music schools or seeking mentorship to enhance their studies and future performance careers are encouraged to apply.
