Applications are now open for the inaugural 2018 Karol Szymanowski International Music Competition - to be held from 10th to the 23rd September, 2018

Applications are now open for the inaugural 2018 Karol Szymanowski International Music Competition - to be held in Katowice, Poland from 10th to the 23rd September, 2018.

Hosted by the National Polish Radio Symphony, this year’s competition will be held in 5 disciplines - violin, piano, string quartet, voice and composition.

Open to international applicants, the first prize-winning soloist will receive €25,000 - and the 1st prize-winning string quartet €38,000.

The competition is scheduled to be held every 5 years.

Applications to be received by 31st May, 2018.
