Classeek Ambassador Programme

Applications Closing to Classeek’s Ambassador Programme

With applications closing on April 17, the one-year career development program bolsters the audience, musical network, and skills of its young artists on track for a high-level career

Founded in Lausanne, Switzerland, Classeek is an alliance of passion for the classical music world and the desire to provide global technological solutions to artists and musicians.

In 2018, Classeek created the Ambassador Programme to provide a one-year career enhancement program for promising young classical musicians who are ready for a performance career at the highest level.

Open to instrumentalists and composers, the program admits those between the ages of 18 - 30 years (as of August 1, 2023). Instrumentalists must hold a Bachelor of Music degree or equivalent.

This year, there will be two spaces open to applicants from around the world, looking to pursue an international career in the classical music industry. There will be one space for instrumentalists, and for the first time, one space open to composers.

"Since its inception, I strongly believed talent could shine regardless of location, connections, and/or financial constraints," said Classeek's founder Catarina Amon. "We’re looking for fresh voices and new talents that we have never heard before and source these talents through Classeek."

Applications are open until April 17, 2023. To apply and learn more, click here.

Applicants will be required to upload a photo, biography, performance videos/composition audio and scores, and a personal video about themselves. There is an application fee of 25 EUR.

Entry into the initiative for the remaining artists of the program is via nomination by one of Classeek’s internationally renowned Artist Ambassadors. This year, ambassador nominations will be presented by Sir András SchiffRenaud CapuçonSonia Simmenauer, and Steven Isserlis — who was just announced as a new Ambassador.

The tailored program increases the artists’ overall visibility via Classeek’s network of ambassadors, provides the artist with promotional materials, acts as conduits to relevant industry professionals, and develops young artists’ entrepreneurial skills and personal goals.

In addition to the career development, the artists receive the opportunity to perform a concert in Classeek’s private recital hall in Aubonne, Switzerland, to an invited private audience of promoters, industry figures, and musical philanthropists, and an international online audience via a high-quality live-stream.

"What makes Classeek different is the digital dimension that transcends geographical constraints," Amon continued. "Firstly, we stream all of the artist’s concerts so that they can be discovered from anywhere in the world, and I’m excited to grow that visibility with the streams on The Violin Channel."

Now available to watch on The Violin Channel are two recitals by Classeek Artists violinist Bilal Alnemr and pianist Julia Hamos.
