AUDITION | Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra — Principal 2nd Violin Position

Applications for the permanent role in the Finnish orchestra will close on August 21, 2022 

The Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra (HPO) will be auditioning for their Principal 2nd Violin position in two rounds. Additionally, if agreed on separately, a tutti 2nd violin position may also be filled through this audition. 

The first round is the pre-audition, to be held on September 26, 2022 at 10 AM at the Music Center (Musiikkitalo) on Mannerheimintie 13 A, 00100 Helsinki, Finland. The second round and main audition will take place on September 27, 2022, at the same venue at 3:30 PM. 

Established in 1882, the HPO is a cultural heart of Helsinki that performs on national and international tours, and in chamber groups for various educational programs for young children. Comprising 102 musicians, the orchestra performs annually to audiences sizes of over 110,000 people.
