The Gran Teatre del Liceu, in Barcelona, Spain, has this week announced a unique concert idea by conceptual artist Eugenio Ampudia - with the musicians performing for plants instead of people.

The UceLi Quartet string quartet this week performed Puccini’s “Crisantemi” for an audience of 2,292 plants from local nurseries.

After the concert, the plants were donated to 2,292 healthcare frontline workers as a thank you for their work in these unprecedented times.
