British violist Gustav Clarkson has passed away.
Gustav served as a member of the British-based Coull String Quartet from 2009 to 2014 – having perviously served as Principal Violist with the Orchestra of St John’s.
“Gustav played for us for many many years and was a wonderful friend and an absolute joy to make music with …” John Lubbock, a spokesperson for the Orchestra of St John’s, has this week said on social media.
“He had a very broad range of interests and he brought a wide variety of experiences to the music … he will be hugely missed by us all in both our concert work and our work in the community,” he has said.
Our condolences are with Mr Clarkson’s family, friends and colleagues.
