Concert Artists Guild Announces Finalists of the 2023 Victor Elmaleh Competition
Six soloists and four ensembles will proceed to the finals to compete for management in the Americas and Europe and international performance opportunities
The Concert Artists Guild (CAG) recently announced the six soloists and four ensembles who have been selected to perform in the finals of the 2023 edition of the Victor Elmaleh Competition. This prestigious competition has helped to launch the careers of a number of young musicians, including VC Artists Inmo Yang, Yoojing Jang, Geneva Lewis, and Alexi Kenney.
This year's Grand Prize winners will receive international management in the Americas and Europe jointly with CAG and Young Classical Artists Trust (YCAT) in London, performances at Merkin Hall in New York and Wigmore Hall in London, and the opportunity to participate in the organization's Citizen Musician Bootcamp.
All other winners will receive North American management with CAG, a New York debut performance, and participation in Citizen Musician Bootcamp.
The six soloists and four ensembles who have been selected for the final are as follows:
• VC Artist Sophia Bacelar, cello
• Nina Bernat, double bass
• VC Artist Joshua Brown, violin
• Njioma Chinyere Grevious, violin
• VC Artist Nathan Meltzer, violin
• Charles Overton, harp
• Abeo Quartet, string quartet
• Best Friends Duo, violin and guitar duo
• Dior Quartet, string quartet
• Stanton Street Duo, harmonica and guitar duo
