Concours Musical International de Montréal Announces 2025 Vocal Participants
24 singers will compete for a prize pool of $160,000 CAD
The Concours musical international de Montréal's (CMIM) 23rd edition will bring together some of the most talented classical singers of the new generation from May 25 to June 6, 2025. The competition has selected 24 artists to compete in this year's event from around the world.
First Prize includes a cash prize of CAD $30,000, the Joseph-Rouleau Career Development Grant worth $40,000 (in partnership with the Azrieli Foundation), and the Opéra de Montréal Aria Prize of $5,000 with an engagement for a role in an upcoming season of the Opéra de Montréal. Second prize will receive $25,000 and third prize will get $20,000. Multiple special prizes will also be awarded.
Also at the end of the First Round, 10 competitors will advance. During the Semifinals and Finals, competitors will perform with the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal (OSM), the official orchestra of the Concours musical international de Montréal, led by conductor Patrick Summers.

"We are confident that both audiences in Montreal and around the world will be captivated by these upcoming performances, rich in beauty and emotion."
The International Jury of Voice 2025 is chaired by Canadian soprano Adrianne Pieczonka. The jury includes Harolyn Blackwell, Iain Burnside, Étienne Dupuis, Anthony Freud, Susan Graham, Roberto Mauro, and Christina Scheppelmann.
