Salonen has now joined Kathryn Enticott’s agency for worldwide representation, effective immediately
The Finnish conductor Esa-Pekka Salonen has now signed with Enticott Music Management (EMM) for worldwide management, joining other conductors on the roster including Franz Welser-Möst and Alan Gilbert.
Currently, Salonen is the Music Director of the San Francisco Symphony and Conductor Laureate of the Philharmonia Orchestra, Los Angeles Philharmonic, and Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra.
As an educator, he is on the faculty of the Colburn School, where he leads the pre-professional Negaunee Conducting Program. Salonen is also cofounder of the annual Baltic Sea Festival, where he served as artistic director from 2003 to 2018.
In recent seasons, he has conducted the 2023 Nobel Prize Concert with the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra and won the prestigious Polar Music Prize. He has also been composer-in-residence of the Berlin Philharmonic, Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, and the Orchestre de Paris.
His upcoming projects will include concert programs dedicated to Pierre Boulez with the Orchestre de Paris and LA Phil, as well as an appearance at the 2025 Salzburg Easter Festival.
Next season, Salonen will premiere his new Horn Concerto, commissioned by the Lucerne Festival, Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, Boston Symphony Orchestra, and more. Among his other compositions include his recent Sinfonia concertante for organ and orchestra, plus concertos for piano, violin, and cello.
EMM will represent Salonen in association with Alex Monsey and Chloe Kiely at IMG Artists. Salonen was previously signed with Fidelio Arts.
“Kathryn Enticott represents my friends and colleagues in the field with strength and grace,” Salonen said in the press release. “I have long admired Kathryn’s thoughtful work and superb reputation, and am very happy to start a new chapter with her. I am grateful to Fidelio Arts for fourteen terrific years of management.”
“Having respected Esa-Pekka’s remarkable work for so many years, it’s a huge honour for me to collaborate with him,” Enticott added. “I want to thank Mark Newbanks of Fidelio Arts for ensuring a seamless management transition.”
