It has been announced today that 40-year-old American conductor James Gaffigan will join the management roster of Primo Artists, in New York – for North and South American management representation.
James currently serves as Chief Conductor of the Lucerne Symphony Orchestra and as Principal Guest Conductor with the Netherlands Radio Philharmonic – and has previously worked as Associate Conductor of the San Francisco Symphony, under the mentorship of Michael Tilson Thomas.
“James Gaffigan is a master of his craft, both in the concert hall and the opera house … he is respected for the trust he builds with musicians, and for his collaborative and invigorating leadership … ” Primo Artists Founder Charlotte Lee has today told The Violin Channel.
“I am thrilled to welcome him to the Primo Artists roster,” she has said.
“I have known Charlotte since she founded Primo in 2015 and have been extremely impressed from the start … her dedication to her clients and relationships with colleagues is extraordinary …” James has today said.
“She looks toward the future while cherishing the traditions of the past … this is the balance we all look for as artists, and I am very excited for this collaboration,” he has said.
Askonas Holt, in London, will continue to handle James’ General Management.
