American conductor Joel Revzen has passed away from complications due to the COVID-19 virus

American conductor Joel Revzen has passed away from complications due to the COVID-19 virus - aged 74.

Throughout his career, Mr Revzen worked for more than 20 years on the conducing staff of New York's Metropolitan Opera - and served as Artistic Director of the Berkshire and Arizona Opera companies.
