Double Bassist Ranaan Meyer Joins the Opus 3 Roster
Meyer is a founding member the string trio Time for Three
Now represented by Opus 3 Artists for general management, Ranaan Meyer is a multiple GRAMMY and Emmy Award-winning double bassist, composer, and educator.
As a founding member of string trio, Time for Three, Meyer has performed at prestigious venues and festivals, collaborated with acclaimed orchestras worldwide, and recorded GRAMMY-winning concertos by Kevin Puts and Jennifer Higdon.
He also co-produced tracks for Summer Walker’s chart-topping R&B album Still Over It and composed the score for Robin Wright’s film LAND.
A graduate of the Curtis Institute of Music, he has performed with the double bass section of The Philadelphia Orchestra.
In 2021, he composed his first concerto for double bass and orchestra entitled Concerto for My Family. Composer Paul Frucht has since created an additional concerto for Ranaan named In Tseyt (Yiddush for “In Time”), a celebration of Judaism which he premiered in Fall 2024.
He is the founder of the Honeywell Arts Academy, which offers full scholarships to young artists through a unique summer music institute.
