The Washington National Opera, in Washington D.C., USA, has this week announced the appointment of German-American conductor Evan Rogister as its new Principal Conductor.
A graduate of Indiana University's Jacobs School of Music and The Juilliard School, the 38-year-old recently made his conducting debuts at New York's Metropolitan Opera and the Bolshoi Theatre -leading productions of Mozart’s The Magic Flute and Puccini’s La bohème.
"Evan is a dynamic rising star with a fresh perspective, vibrant musicianship and a collaborative style," Washington National Opera General Director Timothy O'Leary has said.
