Washington National Opera Announces New Principal Conductor

The Washington National Opera has announced the appointment of conductor Evan Rogister as its new Principal Conductor


The Washington National Opera, in Washington D.C., USA, has this week announced the appointment of German-American conductor Evan Rogister as its new Principal Conductor.

A graduate of Indiana University's Jacobs School of Music and The Juilliard School, the 38-year-old recently made his conducting debuts at New York's Metropolitan Opera and the Bolshoi Theatre -leading productions of Mozart’s The Magic Flute and Puccini’s La bohème. 

"Evan is a dynamic rising star with a fresh perspective, vibrant musicianship and a collaborative style," Washington National Opera General Director Timothy O'Leary has said.
