Fidelio Arts to Represent Conductor Gustavo Dudamel Exclusively
Fidelio's other conductors Esa-Pekka Salonen and Susanna Mälkki will move to other management companies
London’s Fidelio Arts management agency has announced that conductor Gustavo Dudamel will be its sole client moving forward.
Dudamel will continue to be represented at the agency (the only one he is associated with) by Jessica Harmer and Mark Newbanks for general management. Newbanks has worked with Dudamel for more than two decades.
“Indeed, after 35 years in the business, I will now focus my work only on one artist going forward, Gustavo Dudamel,” Newbanks told us. “These plans have been months in the making, and Jessy and I are excited about our ability to concentrate our energies and work more intensively for only one client. My relationship with Gustavo started over 20 years ago, and his career can consume our full attention now, not to mention his artistic projects are a LOT of fun.
Fidelio Arts’s remaining two conductor clients Esa-Pekka Salonen and Susanna Mälkki have now been moved to Enticott Music Management and London’s Intermusica, respectively.
“It has been an incredible 14 years working for Esa-Pekka and 5 for Susanna, and it has been immensely pleasurable being a part of their artistic triumphs over all of those years,” Newbanks added. “They both are remarkable artists and I have confidence their careers will continue to flourish under new arrangements.”
Since 2009, Dudamel has served as the Music and Artistic Director of the Los Angeles Philharmonic, where he will continue to serve through the 2025/26 season, before joining the New York Philharmonic in the same roles as of September 2026.
Dudamel also serves as the Music Director of the Opéra National de Paris and Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra.
His discography, many of which are GRAMMY Award-winning, includes 65 releases. Among his accolades include Spain’s Gold Medal for Merit in Fine Arts, the Konex Foundation Classical Music Award, the Americas Society Cultural Achievement Award, and more.
