Henle to Launch New Fully-Customisable Urtext Ipad Scores
German sheet music publishing house, G. Henle Verlag has today announced the global launch of the ‘Henle Library’ digital urtext-edition sheet music app.
“After a more than two year development period … and a level of investment that was unprecedented in the history of the publishing house, we are proud to finally present the “Henle Library” app,” the company has said, via their blog site.
“We wanted to develop an app that offered musicians the best … without gimmicks ... our app will be a valuable tool for musicians when practising, rehearsing and performing,” they have said.
The fully-customisable digital iPad urtext scores will include an annotation pen, adjustable stave sizes and layouts - as well as the ability to add and remove other chamber music lines.
Optional fingerings and markings will also be available, at the click of a finger, from acclaimed virtuosos and pedagogues - including Igor Ozim, Leopold Auer, Christian Tetzlaff, Conrad Hansen, Murray Perahia and Lars Vogt.
The ‘Henle Libary’ app will be available in German, English and China, for Apple iPads from 3rd February - and for Android tablets from May 2016.
