The Hanns Eisler Academy of Music in Berlin has today announcement the appointment of cellists Nicolas Altstaedt and Claudio Bohórquez to their teaching faculty.

Both new Professors are alumni of the School – having studied with cello pedagogues Boris Pergamenschikow and Eberhard Feltz.

Nicolas, 34 currently serves as Artistic Director of the Lockenhaus Chamber Music Festival and the Haydn Philharmonic Orchestra.

Claudio, 40 serves a Professorship at the Stuttgart Music University and has taught as a Guest Professor at the Hanns Eisler Academy since 2003.
