The Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra, in Michigan, United States, has this week announced the appointment of violinist Jun-Ching Lin as its new Concertmaster.

A graduate of the Curtis Institute of Music and the Cleveland Institute of Music, Lin currently serves as Assistant Concertmaster of the Atlanta Symphony, Concertmaster of the Atlanta Opera – and as Guest Concertmaster with the Florida, Fort Worth and Phoenix Symphony Orchestras.

“I am honored and grateful to be joining the Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra as Concertmaster … every time I visit Kalamazoo I am struck by what a vital arts scene it has … and how warm the people are,” Jun-Ching has today told The Violin Channel.

“We are so fortunate to be able to appoint Jun-Ching Lin as our new Concertmaster …” Kalamazoo Symphony President Peter H. Gistelinck has said.
