The 12 second round candidates have been announced at the 2019 Karol Lipiński International Violin Competition – in Toruń, Poland.
The 2019 second round candidates are:
- Olga Artyugina (Russia)
- Feliks Harutyunyan (Armenia)
- Lorenz Karls (Sweden)
- Mao Konishi (Japan)
- Maya Levy (Belgium)
- Robert Łaguniak (Poland)
- Elias David Moncado (Germany)
- Noori Nah (South Korea)
- Mio Sasaki (Japan)
- Reika Sato (Japan)
- Eimi Wakui (Japan)
- Yumiko Yumiba (Japan)
Open to violinists of any nationality 33 years or under, the 2019 1st prize winner will receive €20,000.
The 2019 jury comprises: Ilya Kaler (Chairman), Konstanty Andrzej Kulka, Boris Kuschnir, Itzhak Rashkovsky, Jakub Jakowicz and Mariusz Smolij.
