Viennese violinist Klaus Maetzl has died - aged 75.
A student of Franz Samohyl and Max Rostal, he was a co-founder of the Alban Berg String Quartet - and served as a former Concertmaster of the Vienna Symphony Orchestra.
Mr Maetzl held a long-term teaching positions at the Vienna University of Music and served on the jury of a number of prominent international competitions.
