Kristiansand Symphony Orchestra Appoints New Principal Guest Conductor

Conductor Tabita Berglund will be the next principal guest conductor of the Norwegian-based orchestra


Beginning in August 2021, Tabita Berglund will serve in the position for three seasons. She will be joining Chief Conductor Nathalie Stutzmann and Guest Conductor Julian Rachlin.

A former recipient of the 2018 Gstaad Conducting Academy’s Neeme Järvi Prize, Berglund has previously conducted the Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra, Hallé Orchestra, Arctic Philharmonic, and the Stavanger Symphony Orchestra. Her most upcoming debuts include concerts with the Oslo Philharmonic, Bergen Philharmonic, and the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic.
