The London Philharmonic Orchestra has today announced the appointment of 24 year old American violinist Kevin Lin as their new Co-Leader – effective from August this year.

A graduate of the Colburn School Conservatory of Music and the Curtis Institute of Music, Kevin is a former prize winner at the Irving Klein International String Competition.

“I am extremely grateful to all those who have helped me to this point in my career … and beyond excited at the prospect of joining this esteemed international ensemble …,” the recent Curtis Institute graduate has told The Violin Channel.

“I feel very honored to be given the opportunities to play under such distinguished Maestros such as Vladimir Jurowski … and I am very much looking forward to my new life in the UK,” he has said.
