London's Royal College of Music Announces New Artistic Director
Andrew Moore will join the Royal College of Music (RCM) as Artistic Director from Spring 2025
For over a decade, Andrew Moore has served as Head of Music for the Edinburgh International Festival in Scotland. There, he oversaw a diverse range of performances — with highlights including concert performances of Wagner’s Der Ring des Nibelungen, semi-staged performances of West Side Story, and the curation of many large-scale multi-genre projects.
Andrew also served as Melbourne Symphony Orchestra's Director of Programming plus worked for the the Academy of Ancient Music. At the latter, he led the orchestra’s participation in the Thames Diamond Jubilee Pageant, the Scottish Chamber Orchestra, and Royal Northern Sinfonia.
"I am really excited about joining the team at the Royal College of Music in early 2025 and bringing my experience gained with orchestras and festivals in the UK and internationally to shape future generations of performers, composers and academics," Andrew shared. "I have long admired the focus that the College places on its artistic programme, the diverse range of world class visiting partners and interesting collaborators, and I look forward to continuing to build a world-leading programme that inspires, innovates and challenges."
