Los Angeles Philharmonic Announces 2025 Dudamel Fellows

Conductors Kinga Głowacka, Ana María Patiño-Osorio, José Ángel Salazar, and Miguel Sepúlveda will work with Dudamel alongside the orchestra

Developed by the LA Phil’s Music Director Gustavo Dudamel, the Fellowship Program has been running since 2009 allowing for selected conductors to work alongside Dudamel and the orchestra, as well as with visiting artists and conductors.

This year, Kinga Głowacka from Poland, Ana María Patiño-Osorio from Colombia, José Ángel Salazar from Venezuela, and Miguel Sepúlveda from Portugal, have been selected for the program.

The fellows were named by LA Phil Board Chair Jason Subotky as part of announcing the 2025/26 LA Phil season at Walt Disney Concert Hall, which will be Dudamel’s final season as Music Director before he officially joins the New York Philharmonic in the same role from the 2026/27 season.

Głowacka, Patiño-Osorio, Ángel Salazar, and Sepúlveda will join the orchestra as it prepares to present 25 commissioned works, including 20 world premieres, three U.S. premieres, and more.

Additionally, they will observe Dudamel in 14 different programs from September 2025 through June 2026, including new additions to his Pan-American Music Initiative, collaborations with Yo-Yo Ma and Yunchan Lim, plus a series of performances of Wagner’s Die Walküre

“Please join us in extending a warm welcome to [these] rising conductors,” LA Phil posted on Facebook. “These four Fellows will work alongside Dudamel … honing their conducting skills and collaborating with LA Phil musicians, visiting artists and conductors, and students in key LA Phil education programs like YOLA (Youth Orchestra Los Angeles) and Symphonies for Youth. We can’t wait to see and hear all the great things they will accomplish in the coming season!”

“Gustavo’s final Walt Disney Concert Hall season as Music & Artistic Director is an opportunity for us to say ‘Thank you’ for the incredible joy he has given all of us, from the unforgettable performances to the loving commitment he has made to the young people of Los Angeles,” said LA Phil CEO Kim Noltemy. “It’s a remarkable season musically, as well as an opportunity for us to convey our immense gratitude for everything Gustavo has done, and continues to do, to uplift our great city through music.”

“I am filled with gratitude for the journey we have shared, and all that we have collectively achieved,” Dudamel shared. “I’m deeply proud of our groundbreaking, innovative audio and video recordings, which have reached millions around the world … We have achieved all of this only by working together, towards the same goals; our musicians, our administration, our board and our community. Every moment we spend together is a gift, and every note will be a memory that continues to resonate for many years to come. With all my heart, I thank my LA Phil family.”
