American luthier Raymond E. Hardy Jr. has passed away from Alzheimer’s disease - aged 86

Baltimore-based stringed instrument maker and repairer Raymond E. Hardy Jr. has passed away from Alzheimer’s disease complications - aged 86.

A clarinet performance and education graduate of the Peabody Conservatory of Music and later violin-making graduate of the University of New Hampshire , Mr Hardy's instruments are owned and played by professional musicians internationally - including by members of the Philadelphia and National Symphony Orchestras.
