This violin recently finished by J.W. Rule is an excellent example of solid American craftsmanship, paired with European sensibilities. As an up and coming violin maker, many players have enjoyed playing J.W. Rule’s instruments and his instruments rarely stay unsold for long. This particular violin is a Strad model violin based off the famous “Messiah” violin. It has a warm and mellow texture to the tone while still retaining a power, focus, and resonance. Many have noted the quality of sound in both the lower end as well as the upper tonal range; it is truly a joy to play. The set up is such that it is easy and fun to play.
