Meet the 2022/23 Young Artists of Classeek’s Ambassador Programme

The one-year career development program bolsters the audience, musical network, and skills of its young artists on track for a high-level career

Founded in 2017 in Lausanne, Switzerland, Classeek is an alliance of passion for the classical music world and the desire to provide global technological solutions to artists and musicians.

In 2018, Classeek created the Ambassador Programme to provide a one-year career enhancement program for promising young classical musicians who are ready for a performance career at the highest level.

The 2022/23 cohort of artists comprises:

Bilal Alnemr

Tom Borrow

Avery Gagliano

Giorgi Gigashvili

Julia Hamos

Alberto Navarra

Alexey Stychkin

Jeein You

Paul Zientara

The tailored program increases the artists’ overall visibility via Classeek’s network of ambassadors, provides the artist with promotional materials, acts as conduits to relevant industry professionals, and develops young artists’ entrepreneurial skills and personal goals.

In addition to the career development, the artists receive the opportunity to perform a concert in Classeek’s private recital hall in Aubonne, Switzerland, to an invited private audience of promoters, industry figures, and musical philanthropists, and an international online audience via a high-quality live-stream.

Two artist concerts will be streamed on The Violin Channel in the coming months. Audiences can tune in to watch pianist Julia Hamos, who is part of András Schiff's Building Bridges project, on Tuesday, January 31, 2023, at 6 PM ET, with a program featuring Bartók, Bach, and Schumann.

Violinist Bilal Alnemr and pianist Giuseppe Mentuccia will perform a program of Schumann, Fauré, and Solhi al-Wadi, on Sunday, March 16, 2023, at 6 PM ET.

Entry into the program is via nomination by one of Classeek’s internationally renowned Artist Ambassadors — including pianists Sir András Schiff and Michel Béroff, cellist Gautier Capuçon, violinist Renaud Capuçon, flautist Emmanuel Pahud, and other industry professionals such as Sonia Simmenauer and Markus Wyler.

“To support and create connections between tomorrow’s artists — this is what makes Classeek unique,” said Gautier Capuçon.

In the 2022-23 season, Classeek opened one additional spot on the program, for the first time, to young artists via an application process, instead of an Ambassador nomination. Applications for the 2023-24 season will open in the Spring of next year, to individual instrumentalists aged 30 or under, holding a Bachelor of Music degree or equivalent.
