The 36 opening round candidates have been announced at the 2018 Mirecourt International Violin Competition to be held in Mirecourt, France from the 10th to the 16th of November.

Open to international violinists aged 26 years and younger, the 1st prize winner will receive €5,000 – plus a number of important performance opportunities.

The 2018 jury comprises: Krzystof Wegrzyn (Chairman) Harald Herzl, Alissa Margulis, Petru Munteanu, Marianne Piketty, Weidong Tong and Ulf Wallin.
