Applications are now open for the 2018 Naumburg International Violin Competition – to be held in New York from the 11th to the 16th of November

Applications are now open for the 2018 Naumburg International Violin Competition - to be held in New York City from the 11th to the 16th of November, 2018.

Open to international violinists aged 18 and 32, the 1st prize winner will receive USD $25,000, two fully subsidized New York City recitals - plus a commissioned work by acclaimed Argentine-American composer, Mario Davidovsky.

Previous 1st prize winners include: Louis Kaufman, Robert Mann, Berl Senofsky, Joseph Silverstein, Nadja Salerno-Sonnenberg, Leonidas Kavakos, Axel Strauss, Frank Huang and VC Artist Tessa Lark.

Applications to be received by the 4th of September, 2018.
