The Pacific Symphony, in Orange County, California, United States, has this week announced that Principal Pops Conductor Richard Kaufman will step down from the role - at the conclusion of the 2019-2020 season.
Maestro Kaufman has lead the orchestra's pop series since 1990.

Pacific Symphony Music Director Carl St.Clair has said.
"He is a great and supportive colleague ... I look forward to continuing my relationship with him as our principal Pops conductor laureate," he has said.
