Pianist Simone Dinnerstein Signs With Dorn Music Management
The American pianist has joined the Germany-based agency for worldwide general management
Pianist Simone Dinnerstein has signed with Dorn Music, joining its illustrious roster of artists including Anna Handler, Tarmo Peltokoski, and Jan Vogler.
Dinnerstein also shares a long creative history with the management agency’s founder Tanja Dorn. Established in 2016, Dorn Music is now headquartered in both Hannover and New York.
First gaining wider public attention in 2007 through her recording of Bach’s Goldberg Variations, Dinnerstein has since played with orchestras including the New York Philharmonic, Montreal Symphony Orchestra, London Symphony Orchestra, and the Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale Rai.
As a recording artist, 13 of her albums topped the Billboard Classical Charts and were recorded by the late GRAMMY Award-winning producer Adam Abeshouse with repertoire ranging from Couperin to Glass.
Her collaborators have included Renée Fleming, the Emerson String Quartet, André Previn, Tom Stoppard, and Philip Glass, who composed his Piano Concerto No. 3 for her, co-commissioned by 12 orchestras.
In New York, Dinnerstein regularly curates and performs on an innovative Bach series at the Miller Theatre, and this season, is an Artist-in-Residence at the Kaufman Music Center, where she will mentor student musicians and perform Glass’s The Hours and Tirol piano concerto with the Brooklyn Orchestra.
Additionally, she is on the piano faculty of the Mannes School of Music and is a guest host/producer of WQXR’s Young Artists Showcase. Dinnerstein’s main teachers included Solomon Mikowsky, Maria Curcio, and Peter Serkin.
“We are thrilled to welcome pianist Simone Dinnerstein to the Dorn Music roster for worldwide general management!” Dorn Music posted on Instagram.
“I couldn’t be more thrilled to announce the signing of pianist Simone Dinnerstein for worldwide management,” said Tanja Dorn. “She was the first artist I signed near the beginning of my career, and I still recall the incredible excitement of working with Simone as well as publicist Christina Jensen in those early days. I am overjoyed to reunite our trio and to bring Simone to the Dorn Music family.”
“Back in 2005, together with the fabulous publicist Christina Jensen, the three of us began our careers together with a whirlwind of excitement and activity,” Dinnerstein added. “After moving on our divergent paths and developing our independent strengths, it is a rare gift to have this opportunity to reunite with my original team. I am so eager to begin our next adventure together!”
