Pianist Sir András Schiff Withdraws from Performances
1 MIN READ
British classical pianist Sir András Schiff was due to perform on March 29 and 30, 2022 in an all-Mozart program at Chicago’s Symphony Center and on March 31 at Carnegie Hall.
The following statement was released by Schiff’s artist management: “Sir András Schiff regrets that he is unable to perform…He recently suffered a fall and is not allowed to travel to the U.S. at this time.”
While Schiff’s performances in Chicago were canceled, his Carnegie Hall recital was filled with a performance by Canadian pianist Marc-André Hamelin with works by C.P.E Bach and Beethoven.
We wish Sir András Schiff a swift recovery from his fall and a return to performance.
