Pianist Yulianna Avdeeva's New Album, "Chopin: Voyage"
Released on Pentatone, the album focuses on Chopin's late works, all composed while surrounded by nature
Pianist Yulianna Avdeeva has released her newest album, Chopin: Voyage, on Pentatone.
The First Prize winner at the XVI International Chopin Piano Competition in 2010, Yulianna documents her journey with the music of Frédéric Chopin in this new release. Included in the album are Chopin's 2 Nocturnes Op. 62, Polonaise-Fantaisie Op. 61, Barcarolle Op. 60, Sonata No. 3 in B Minor Op. 58, and his 3 Mazurkas Op. 59.
The album was recorded at the Tippet Rise Art Center in Montana, against the backdrop of the Beartooth Mountains, similar to how Chopin composed his late works while surrounded by nature. To purchase and listen to the album, click here.
