Prizes Awarded at Czech Annual Prague Spring Violin Competition

24 year old Czech violinist Olga Sroubkova has been awarded 1st prize at the 2017 Prague Spring International Violin Competition

24 year old Czech violinist Olga Sroubkova has been awarded 1st prize at the 2017 Prague Spring International Violin Competition - in Prague, Czech Republic.

A graduate of the Prague Conservatory, and current graduate student at the Hannover Hochschule für Musik, Olga is a former major prize winner at the Kocian, Zhuhai, Chengdu and Lipizer International Violin Competitions.

She will receive 200,000 CVK (US $8,400) - plus a number of important European concert opportunities.

This year’s jury comprised: Ivan Zenaty, Clemens Hellsberg, Liana Isakadze, Shizuka Ishikawa, Gérard Poulenc, Bohuslav Matoušek and Ida Kavafian.
