VC REVIEWS | Luxitune Skull Series - Swarovski Crystal, Gold Plated Violin Fine Tuner
" Not for the shy and retiring ... It's definitely a head turning piece - especially for those wanting to channel their dark side! " - Maxine Kwok-Adams, London Symphony Orchestra
Having already purchased a Luxitune Pave Ball Series fine tuner in 2012, I was interested to see how the new highly anticipated skull design would compare.
The Skull Series is not for the shy and retiring! Inspired by the high-fashion edgy designs of Alexander McQueen and Damien Hirst, it's definitely a head turning piece!
The main jeweled body is very well made, very sparkly and weighty but not in so much that it affects the sound in any way.
It was easy to install without any tools and I didn't experience any buzzing. Being a professional musician this is always an important consideration.
If you want to be a little more discreet with your bling, I highly recommend the Luxitune Pave Ball fine tuner, but this is definitely a fun and unisexed addition to your violin - especially for those wanting to channel their dark side!
