Romanian conductor Camil Marinescu has passed away from the COVID-19 virus – aged just 55.

A graduate of the National University of Music, in Bucharest, throughout his career Camil served as Resident Conductor at the Bucharest Opera, Principal Conductor of the George Enescu Philharmonic – and as Guest Conductor of the Berlin Symphony Orchestra.
