Russian composer Alexander Glazunov was born on this day in 1865 – 153 years ago.
Dying in 1936, Glazunov’s signature works include ballets The Seasons and Raymonda, his 9 symphonies, the Polonaise from Les Sylphides – and his much-loved Violin Concerto in A Minor.
