Cellist Sol Gabetta Announced Dresden Philharmonic Artist-in-Residence

The Dresden Philharmonic has today announced Argentine cellist Sol Gabetta as their new Artist-in-Residence for the 2015-16 season.

The 34 year old Swiss-based virtuoso will accompany the ensemble on a tour of the UK in October 2015 - plus perform concerti during three subscription concerts.

Regarded among the world's top concert soloists, Sol's recent debuts include engagements with the Berlin Staatskapelle, London Philharmonic, Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich, Bavarian Radio Orchestra and the Orchestra National de France.

Spanish composer Jose Maria Sanchez-Verdu has been announced as the orchestra's 2015/2016 Composer-in-Residence
