It has been announced today that 19 year old Dutch/American VC ‘Young Artist’ Stephen Waarts will join the artistic management roster of HarrisonParrott, London.
A student of Aaron Rosand at the Curtis Institute of Music, Stephen is a former prize winner at the Queen Elisabeth, Menuhin and Montreal International Violin Competitions – and the Young Concert Artists International Auditions.
“I am very much looking forward to working with the team at HarrisonParrott … it’s an agency I respect greatly and I’m very excited by the opportunities that are arising from our new partnership,” Stephen has told The Violin Channel.
“I’m so enormously grateful to all my teachers and fellow musicians, who have helped me more than words can express to get to this point,” he added.
HarrisonParrott represent some of the biggest names in the classical music industry – including violinists Gil Shaham, Sayaka Shoji, Lisa Batiashivili, Akiko Suwanai, Christian Tetzlaff, Benjamin Schmid, Janine Jansen, Leila Josefowicz, Fumiaki Miura, Alina Pogostkina and Esther Yoo, cellists Sol Gabetta, Truls Mork and Alba Gerhardt – and respected international conductors Han-Na Chang, Christoph Von Dohnanyi, Neeme Jarvi, Paavo Jarvi, Krzysztof Urbanski, Osmo Vanska, Arvo Volmer and David Zinman.
Stephen will also still continue to work alongside the Young Concert Artists in North America.
