A missing 2010 August Mario Miralles cello, stolen from a hotel room in San Diego on Sunday the 8th of August, has been found and returned to its owner.
The instrument was valued at approximately US $85,000.
“My cello was found in perfect condition ...” John Walz, Principal Cellist with the Los Angeles Opera has told The Violin Channel.
“A fellow found it on the street in downtown San Diego, and it was through news outlets I was tracked down …” he has said.
“A huge thanks to everyone for their thoughts, good wishes, helpful suggestions ... and to the people responsible for reuniting us!”
