Terra String Quartet Welcomes Cellist Audrey Chen
Chen replaces the quartet's outgoing cellist, Geirþrúður Guðmundsdóttir
The Terra String Quartet, winners of the 2022 Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition, have bid farewell to cellist Geirþrúður Guðmundsdóttir. She will be replaced by cellist Audrey Chen.
Chen studied with Laurence Lesser and Lluís Claret at Harvard University and the New England Conservatory. She is currently studying for a DMA at the CUNY Graduate Center, and also teaches at CUNY Hunter College.
She has performed in some of America's most prestigious venues, appeared on NPR’s From the Top Radio Show, played in the Seattle Symphony and the Harvard-Radcliffe Orchestra, and has been featured as a guest artist with the Boston Chamber Music Society, Silk Road Ensemble, Argus Quartet, Parker Quartet, and the Borromeo Quartet.
