The Violin Channel is very pleased to announce that the 2011 Scott Brown violin, stolen on June 16th from the Dumke Recital Hall, at the University of Utah has been found and returned safely to its owner in 'perfect cosmetic condition.'
“I am so proud to say that as at 10:00pm, June 26th, 2014, my violin has been finally recovered!" owner John Shin has said, "...the instrument is in perfect cosmetic condition!”
“He took a bow, but it was a free bow that was given to me previously, and not my main bow…Talk about my luck!! Thank you everyone!” an exuberant Mr Shin has exclaimed.
For legal reasons, at this stage, no statement has been released regarding any suspects in relation to the theft.
Thank you to all Violin Channel members for your assistance with this matter.
