American violinist Benjamin Beilman is quickly building an impressive international reputation for his eloquent music making, distinctive sound and effortless virtuosity
28-year-old American violinist Benjamin Beilman is quickly building an impressive international reputation for his eloquent music making, distinctive sound and effortless virtuosity.
A graduate of the Music Institute of Chicago, Curtis Institute of Music and the Kronberg Academy, where he studied with Almita and Roland Vamos, Pamela Frank, Ida Kavafian and Christian Tetzlaff, Benjamin is a former 1st prize winner at the Montréal International Violin Competition and the Young Concert Artist International Auditions - and a former recipient of a prestigious Borletti-Buitoni Trust Fellowship, Avery Fisher Career Grant and a London Music Masters Award.
His recent orchestral solo debuts include performances with the Philadelphia Orchestra, Detroit Symphony, Houston Symphony, Utah Symphony, Oregon Symphony, Indianapolis Symphony, Sydney Symphony, Scottish Chamber Orchestra and the Orchestra of St. Luke’s.
Benjamin currently performs on the 1708 'Engleman' Stradivarius violin - on generous loan from the Nippon Music Foundation.
