Tessa Lark

26 year old American violinist, Tessa Lark has in recent years firmly established herself as one of the new generation’s most outstanding young string virtuosi.

A graduate of the New England Conservatory, where she studied with respected pedagogues Miriam Fried and Lucy Chapman, Tessa is currently completing her ‘Artistic Diploma’ at New York’s Juilliard School with Sylvia Rosenberg and Ida Kavafian.

She is a former major prize winner at the Indianapolis, Michael Hill and Naumburg International Violin Competitions – and a recent recipient of a prestigious Avery Fisher Career Grant and a Leonore Annenberg Fellowship.

Tessa’s recent debuts include concerto engagements with the Indianapolis, Hawaii, New Haven, Danville and Johnson City Symphony Orchestras – and a solo recital performance at Carnegie Hall’s Weill Hall.

She currently performs on the 1683 ‘ex-Gingold’ Stradivarius – on generous loan from the Indianapolis International Violin Competition, and recently signed world-wide management with Sciolino Artist Management, New York.
