VC LIVE | 2020 Azrieli Music Prizes Israel Debut
1 MIN READ
Created in 2014 by The Azrieli Foundation in Canada, the Azrieli Music Prizes are presented every two years to composers in three categories: the Azrieli Commission for Canadian Music, the Azrieli Commission for Jewish Music, and the Azrieli Prize for Jewish Music.
The program includes the Israeli premiere of Yitzhak Yedid’s “Kadosh Kadosh and Cursed,” Keiko Devaux’s “Arras,” and Yotam Haber’s “Estro Poetico-armonico III” — with conductor Zsolt Nagy, the Israel Contemporary Players, and contralto Noa Frenkel.
