We’re coming to you from the 2021 Bowdoin International Music Festival, in Brunswick, Maine, for a special concert with the Jupiter String Quartet.
Consisting of violinists Nelson Lee and Meg Freivogel, violist Liz Freivogel (Meg’s older sister), and cellist Daniel McDonough (Meg’s husband), the ensemble has firmly established itself as an important voice in the world of chamber music.
They have performed in the world's finest halls, including New York City’s Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center, London’s Wigmore Hall, Austria’s Esterhazy Palace, and Seoul’s Sejong Chamber Hall.
Now in their 20th year together, some of the quartet's numerous accolades include being grand prize winners at the Banff International String Quartet Competition and the Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition, as well as being past recipients of an Avery Fisher Career Grant.
