We're coming to you from Boston, Massachusetts, for a special recital hosted by the New England Conservatory (NEC), featuring VC Artist Joshua Brown. This concert is part of The Violin Channel's new streaming partnership with NEC. In the coming months, audiences will be treated to full performances from the school's Concert Artists Series — featuring artists in the Institute for Concert Artists and the Professional Piano Trio Program.
Praised for his unique musical voice and instincts, Joshua Brown has found success in performances and competitions worldwide. Joshua was first recognized for his debut performance with the Cleveland Orchestra at the age of fifteen. Following that debut, Joshua has gone on to perform with dozens of orchestras both here and abroad, continually garnering praise from critics.
In 2023, Joshua was named the winner of the inaugural Global Music Education League International Violin Competition in Beijing, China. After four rounds of competition, he was awarded the Gold Medal, $100,000, and 3 years of international concert engagements. Most recently, Joshua was awarded second prize at the Queen Elisabeth Violin Competition. He is currently pursuing the Artist Diploma degree at New England Conservatory, studying under Donald Weilerstein.
