VC LIVE | Tertis International Viola Competition

Tune in from January 19-25 to watch the full competition for violists aged 19-30

We're coming to you LIVE from the Gateshead Quayside, United Kingdom, for the 2025 Tertis International Viola Competition. Held in conjunction this year with the Cecil Aronowitz International Viola Competition, the competitions will take place between January 19 and 25, 2025.

The jurors for this year's competition comprises of Thomas Selditz, Robin Ireland, Lilli Maijala, George Caird, and Francoise Gneri. 

First prize will include a £5,000 cash award, a debut album with Champs Hill Records, and a shared recital at London’s Wigmore Hall in October, 2025.

The top prize winner of the LTIVC will receive an option to borrow a fine viola for a year through the Beare’s International Violin Society.
