Candidates Announced for Vietnam's Inaugural International Chamber Music Competition

The opening round candidates have been announced for the 2019 Inaugural Vietnam International Chamber Music Competition

The opening round candidates have been announced for the 2019 Inaugural Vietnam International Chamber Music Competition – to be held in Hanoi, Vietnam from the 2nd to the 11th of August, 2019.

The opening round candidates are:

• Agosto Piano Quintet (Vietnam)
• Amici Quartet (Vietnam)
• ATC Piano Trio (Vietnam)
• Doppio Duo (Vietnam)
• Duo Aquila (Vietnam/Germany)
• Comme Toi Piano Duo (South Korea)
• Duo DuoCHTT (Vietnam)
• L'Espoir Trio (Vietnam)
• Trio L'Aube (Vietnam)
• Ulysses Quartet & Trung (Vietnam/Poland/United States/Canada)
• Viva Trio (Germany/Vietnam)

Open to international ensembles with an average age of 30 years and younger, the 1st prize winning chamber group will receive US $8,000.

The 2019 jury will comprise: Cong Duy Bui (President), Max Levinson (Chair), Tetsuji Honna, Kyung Sun Lee, Natalya Likhopoy, Eugene Osadchy, Susan Dubois, Chuong Vu, Gregory Lee and Chika Murata.
