The Violin Channel and the Menuhin Competition Richmond 2021 announced the launch of a new 2 day all-day Menuhin Competition Festival, set to take place across The Violin Channel’s Facebook and Instagram pages on Friday and Saturday the 16th and 17th of October.

Friday October 16th, 2020:

10:00 AM: “Austin 2014 Senior Semi-Finals” – With Competition Artistic Director Gordon Back and Jury Chair Pamela Frank

12.00 PM: 2018 Geneva Menuhin Competition Masterclass With Joji Hattori

1:00 PM: “VC AMA (Ask Me Anything)” – With 1991 Junior Competition prize winner, Jennifer Koh

2.00 PM: 2018 Geneva Menuhin Competition Masterclass With Pamela Frank

3:00 PM: “Oslo 2010 1st Prize Winners” – With VC Artists Angelo Xiang Yu and Kerson Leong

5.00 PM: 2018 Geneva Menuhin Competition Masterclass With Henning Kraggerud

The 2020 Menuhin Competition, in Richmond, Virginia, will now take place from the 13th to the 23rd of May, 2021 due to the pandemic.

The 2021 jury will comprise: Pamela Frank, Joji Hattori, Aaron Dworkin, Ralph Kirshbaum, Soyoung Yoon, Piers Lane and VC Artists Noah Bendix-Balgley and Angelo Xiang Yu

Artists-in-residence are set to include Regina Carter, Mark & Maggie O’Connor and the Sphinx Virtuosi.
